The Engineering & Maintenance Manager will ensure the Engineering Teams follow best practice / continuous improvement principles, meet all relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure all plant, machinery and buildings are maintained to the highest standards. The Engineering & Maintenance Manager will work with senior management and contribute to the day to day decisions and activity critical to the efficient running of this high profile food factory.

 

Our client is one of the world's largest producers of specialist food products, with production facilities across the Americas, Asia, the UK and Europe.

 

The successful Engineering & Maintenance Manager will be able to demonstrate experience gained in a similar or related role within the food (fmcg) industry. A formal Engineering qualification is desirable as are qualifications in Health & Safety (HSE) and Basic Food Hygiene. The Engineering & Maintenance Manager will be a team leader and a team player with good Management and decision-making abilities. The role demands excellent communication skills and a good standard of both written and oral English.

 

The Engineering & Maintenance Manager will work closely with the Production Manager and Site Operational team to maximise efficiency and site profitability. The ability to think and act both operationally and strategically is important along with the ability to motivate a team and manage change. The role demands strong data and analytical skills, computer literacy and ideally an understanding of SAP or similar ERP / MRP system.
