Environment Advisor/Coordinator/Administrator
Salary - £25,000 to £28,000 + benefits
The Environment Advisor / Coordinator / Administrator will provide environmental administration support, assuming responsibility for completion of permits, licences etc and ensuring compliance with the Environmental Permitting Regulations, Ofgem and other Regulatory Bodies. The key focus of the role is the continued protection of the environment by effective functionality of their processes.
Our client is a highly successful organisation working within the Organic Waste Recycling and Renewable Energy sectors and due to recent growth, they are looking for a motivated individual to join their team.
The Environment Advisor / Coordinator / Administrator will be competent in the completion of site Permit applications ensuring all supporting documentation including Work Instructions, Flow Charts and Forms are linked logically and all conditions are met. You will work within the compliance team ensuring the sites operate compliantly and establishing and maintaining relationships with staff, customers and relevant sector related organisations. The Environment Advisor / Coordinator / Administrator will work on non-conformance issues, increasing customer service levels and maintaining high levels of auditable compliance with both internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have at least two years practical administrative experience within a quality, health, safety and environmental sector and demonstrate experience of working with environmental controls and regulators. Familiarity with ISO14001 and current environmental management systems would be beneficial and membership of the IEMA is desirable though not essential. The Environment Advisor / Administrator will be computer literate (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel etc) have strong oral and written communication skills and good attention to detail.
The role of Environment Advisor / Coordinator / Administrator requires a high level of accuracy and the ideal candidate should enjoy contributing and working in a team environment with minimum supervision.
