Logistics Manager, Seaham
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum + benefits

To further nourish our success, our Seaham Plant is looking to develop the Logistics team by recruiting a Logistics Manager, to be responsible for managing the Seaham warehouse operation and ensure that all business objectives are met at minimum cost. You will manage a team of around 30 employees to ensure customer service, efficiency and safety.
Main Responsibilities
• To provide appropriate management to all direct reports within the Seaham logistics function to ensure Mission Foods meets and achieves its business objectives and Vision.
• To ensure all relevant information is communicated to the Logistics department, their
activities are properly planned and coordinated and effectively liaison with Production and other areas of the business takes place.
• To provide clear individual objectives for direct reports in order that all Logistics personnel
are fully aware of all key activities, priorities and challenges.
• To undertake continuous improvement by reviewing on an on-going basis all current ways of working within the Logistics function, developing and implementing more effective and efficient methods, processes and disciplines where appropriate.
• To agree and manage the Seaham warehouse budget including labour, resources and all other costs.
• To liaise on a regular basis with the Supply Chain Director and effectively cascade
information to the Seaham Logistics function.
• To define, communicate and manage the objectives and criteria for all suppliers of warehousing services to Seaham.
• To proactively manage Health and Safety within the Logistics function.
• To play a full role as a member of the site management team.
Experience
• Degree level or equivalent
• 5+ years management experience, preferably in a similar environment
• Proven managerial skills i.e. ability to set clear objectives, review and mange performance,
encourage motivation and provide effective feedback
• Excellent communications and influencing skills
• Proven ability to improve practices and processes via continuous improvement
• Good standard of IT skills including SAP, spread sheets, Word, Power Point, etc.
