The member services team at Anglia Farmers <http://www.angliafarmers.co.uk> has been given a major boost with the appointment of Ashley Gilman.
 
Most recently he had 24/7 responsibility as farms & operations director for Maurice Crouch (Growers) Limited – a 2500 hectare salad, brassica, bulb and flower producer.  Now, as member business manager, he will work at Anglia Farmers alongside business development manager David Moar co-ordinating the team and ensuring the needs of the purchasing group’s 1900 members are met.
 
“The days of small purchasing groups are over – they do not have enough clout,” said Mr Gilman. “As Anglia Farmers continues to grow it is important that members do not feel they are just one within a large co-operative.  We need to ensure their business is individually looked after and that we achieve excellent value for money and excellent service levels at all times.”
 
Equally, Mr Gilman intends to be pro-active by identifying and introducing members to potential business opportunities.
