Britvic (HQ Chelmsford) has achieved a 30.2% reduction in energy used in manufacturing and a 23.6% reduction in carbon emissions per tonne of product produced since 1997, the company announced in its second corporate responsibility report.

These savings have been achieved despite a 45% increase in the amount of product manufactured each year, and using only 1.4% more energy, in absolute terms, compared to 1997.

This is just one of a range of sustainability improvements Britvic has made across the board, in line with its new ‘Playing Our Part’ strategy, which encompasses four key areas of focus.
