Region wins export
funding
Food and drink companies in the East of England seeking to grow their
international business will benefit from the East of England Development
Agency (EEDA) support programme for 2008/09, to be launched at the end of
March.
The programme, which has already seen 32 food and drink companies from
the East of England region receive support, offers up to 50% funding for:
- Tailor-made market visits
- Partner searches and introductions
- Market research
- Membership of FFB’s Fast Track scheme
The programme for 2008/09 offers up to 50% funding for the following
specially selected events and exhibitions:
- Italian Retail Seminar – 7-8 May 2008 Milan, Italy
- International Networking Event – New Sectors, New Markets – 21 May
London
- French Retail Seminar – 12-13 June Paris, France
- Summer Fancy Food TDV – 28-30 June New York (to be launched)
- Russia TDV – 22-26 September Moscow, Russia (to be launched)
- SIAL Exhibition and TDV – 19-23 October Paris, France
- Ireland TDV – 6-7 November Dublin, Ireland (to be launched)
- Iberian Roadshow – 12-13 November Alicante, Spain (to be launched)
- India TDV – 2-4 December New Delhi, India (to be launched)
This international trade project runs until March 2009 and is part of a
suite of business support, commissioned by the East of England Development
Agency (EEDA), to help food and drink businesses increase productivity by
developing overseas markets.
