New senior marketing
executive for Improve
Improve, the food and drink sector skills council, has
appointed a new senior marketing executive.
Sarah Ogden, 28, will take responsibility for the
development and implementation of Improve’s marketing and communications
strategy. Her work will be instrumental in helping to increase employer
engagement in the drive to boost skills in food and drink manufacturing, a
sector that has an annual turnover of £74 billion, and employs 500,000
people.
Sarah brings with her more than six years of marketing
and communications experience. She joins Improve after almost a year with
Wakefield and District Housing, where she led the Promoting Excellence
marketing campaign in preparation for an inspection by the Audit Commission.
Prior to this, Sarah spent over a year at Education Leeds, which included a
secondment as policy, media and communications support manager at Leeds
Social Services.
An English and Communications graduate, Sarah also has a
Postgraduate Diploma in Newspaper Journalism from City University, London,
which she completed after being awarded a bursary through the Scott Trust,
owner of the Guardian Media Group.
