Valley Grown Salads choose LinkFresh
Anglia Business Solutions has announced a further win for its LinkFresh
fresh produce business management solution at Essex-based Valley Grown
Salads (VGS). VGS supply Sainsbury's, Waitrose & Ocado with locally
grown and imported tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers & aubergines.
The Microsoft Navision based solution, which includes the LinkFresh
Foundation, Supply Chain and Logistics modules as well as a new IT
infrastructure, will be deployed at the company's Roydon headquarters in
Essex.
"As my business moves forward I need to ensure that my management
team keep up to speed with the ever changing demands of our customers",
says Jimmy Russo, Managing Director for VGS. "We need to have an
accurate and up to date view of our supply & demand requirements at all
times to allow us to be pro-active in the market. Supermarkets have very
stringent quality and delivery standards, with costly financial penalties
for those suppliers who fail to meet them. By implementing the LinkFresh
solution from Anglia we are not only investing in our IT solution, but also
in our continued long-term success as a supplier of high quality fresh
produce to the major multiples. In particular, the LinkFresh Supply Chain
Module will enable us to improve control and gain better visibility on
supply & demand across our whole organisation and ultimately provide a
better service."
Commenting on the win, Bob Rose, Business Development Manager for Anglia
says, "We are delighted to be working with such a dynamic and forward
thinking fresh produce organisation like VGS. They are an excellent example
of an organisation that has the long-term vision to invest in its IT systems
to provide them with that competitive edge and speed of response so
important in today's fresh produce market place."
