The Daily Telegraph has reported that Geest is rumoured to be a target of Associated British Foods (ABF).

The paper said that talk amongst market analysts was that Geest looked like a cheap buy compared to peers such as Northern Foods.

Spokesmen for Geest and ABF said they could not comment on market rumours.
