New salad packaging from FoodFen company

FoodFen-based Anson Packaging has completed the development of two new forms of packaging, a rigid thermoformed plastic display pack and a multi-compartment dip pack.

The plastic display pack is for a Caesar salad, complete with Parmesan cheese and salad dressing and is produced by Kent Salads for Marks and Spencer stores.

Debra Rainert, a business development manager for Geest Plc, which owns Kent Salads, said: " Anson Packaging worked closely alongside us and came up with a number of designs from which we were able to select the final pack shape." Secondy, the dip pack has been produced for two major supermarket chains by Geest's prepared food division. The new pack follows an extensive market research programme.
